From Saint Sophia in Istanbul to Saint Peter’s in the Vatican, Ahmet Ertuğ travels the world in search of the finest examples of ancient architecture.

The Conciergerie, established in the former Palais de Justice of Paris, was both a court and a prison, located on the west side of the Île de la Cité, beneath the present-day Palais de Justice. Originally an integral part of the Palais de la Cité, including the Sainte-Chapelle, it now houses two medieval halls. Today, it is a monument managed by the Centre des monuments nationaux.
