Always defining herself as a sculptor, Hannah Villiger’s photographs, enlarged and presented in dynamic ensembles, constantly seek to reveal the intrinsic properties of an anonymized material body, shaped by mechanical recording.

Created on the initiative of President Georges Pompidou, who was passionate about modern art, the Centre Pompidou, a multi-disciplinary establishment located in the heart of Paris, responds to the desire to create a cultural institution dedicated to modern and contemporary creation, merging the visual arts with literature, drawing, music, live performance, activities for young audiences and cinema.
